2008 - 2009 Fall Art Festival

Events held during the school year help parents gain a better understanding of the Montessori curriculum and allow them to enjoy time with other families in our school community. 

All Family Picnic

This event is held just after the school year begins and is a relaxing evening where families can get to know each other, the children can play in the park and everyone enjoys delicious food prepared by our families.

Fall Art Festival

Families spend the morning on the front lawn moving between presentations of famous artists to learn more about the artist and his work.  They are also able to make a piece of art in each artists style.  Many can be taken home.

Information Nights

One All School Information Night and two information nights specific to each program level are held each year.  These offer an opportunity for parents to gain a better understanding of what their child is learning and a chance to ask questions of the teachers.  Attendance is mandatory by one parent.

Spring Festival

Held in March, this is another opportunity for families to gather to socialize and get to know one another and have some fun. 

Silent Auction

This event is one of our two fundraisers.  Businesses and individuals donate items such as gift cards, gift baskets and artwork that is auctioned off to the highest bidder.  This event is a family favorite.

End of Year Event and Graduation

This event has a different theme each year.  Most recently, we held Gallery Night and Graduation.  Student artwork was displayed throughout the school with our older students presenting their work to gallery visitors.  Many of our students also played musical instruments.  We also hold our Eighth Grade Graduation in conjunction with this end of year event.

Coffee House

Our Middle School class hosts a monthly coffee house.  They transform their classroom into a typical coffee house and serve baked goods, coffee and hot chocolate to customers.  They are involved in all aspects of this class-run business. 

Conferences

Each year, three parent/teacher conferences are held to allow parents the opportunity to discuss their child’s progress.  These are scheduled in November, February and May.
